Pink Top with Bows

Top: H&M • Jeans: Abercrombie • Wedges: Tanglz Boutique (old, similar here) •  Watch: Michael Kors • Crossbody Bag: Michael Kors (old, similar here) • Lips: LipSense in Apple Cider

Off-the-shoulder tops (OTS)...call me obsessed! This was my first OTS top and it made me fall in love. I remember seeing this trend so much last spring/summer but for some reason, I just never jumped on the train. I tried on several but I was never happy with them. I found this one at H&M in late February and went into the dressing room in hopes that I would like it on as much as I did on the hanger and luckily, I did! First, you can't go wrong with pink, especially gingham, and second, bows on the sleeves! Leaving it at that! Since this top, I've bought several other OTS tops. I love finding budget-friendly tops, especially super trendy ones, because you never know if that trend will be as popular next season. I linked others below that are affordable and adorable!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Dress: Free Spirits • Denim Jacket: Target • Shoes: Bliss Boutique (similar here & here) • Bag: TJ Maxx (similar here)

I love outfits like this for work or church this time of year. There's not many things as comfortable as a cotton dress, okay maybe my Zella tights and if I could wear those to work everyday I would, lol but since I can't, I'll go with the next best thing. This time of year is hard for me to dress for work. Since it's almost summer, I don't want to buy any new work clothes that I won't want to wear this summer. Dresses like this one are perfect because I can easily just throw on a denim jacket to make it school/work appropriate but I will also love it this summer! A good denim jacket is something everyone should have in their closet. I always joke that I'm such a typical teacher when I'm wearing one but I'm proving to myself how amazing they are as I'm writing this post. πŸ˜‰

On another note, I can't believe tomorrow is the first day of May! April is one of my favorite months but it always goes by so fast. I am looking forward to summer though! We have no vacation plans yet, which is so not like us, but I'm hoping we'll at least go on a 'spur of the moment trip' sometime. If not, I'll be okay lounging by the pool daily! πŸ˜‰

Thanks again and always for reading!

Jeans & Tee

Tee: Free Spirits • Bag: Free Spirits • Jeans: Abercrombie • Sandals: Target • Sunglasses: TJ Maxx

Oh how I love a soft, comfy tee! Free Spirits (Blessing and Butterflies) makes custom tees. I have used them several times for different things and have never been disappointed. They always turn out so cute and last forever! Also, can we talk about this bag?! I love to have a good cross-body! I always reach for them when I'm planning to go shopping or traveling and know I'll be doing a lot of walking.  I like this one because it's bigger than some so it will carry more of what you need.

I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm finishing up this post before I head out for my 10 mile run. Our weekends as usually consumed with training but we love it and wouldn't have it any other way!

Floral Dress

Dress: Free Spirits (Blessings and Butterflies) • Shoes: Bliss Boutique (similar here) • Bag: TJ Maxx (similar here)

With Easter being this weekend, I thought I would share another dress that would be perfect for it. This dress from Free Spirits is so gorgeous, I'm obsessed with anything floral right now! I styled it a little more casual for this post but if I were to wear it on Easter Sunday, I might would pair these heels (in the taupe color) with it to make it a little more dressy. I love this dress as well!

Anyone else as excited about a long weekend as I am?! I love Easter for more than that reason but it definitely makes it even sweeter to have a 4-day weekend. I'm looking forward to relaxing and spending time with our family.

Happy Saturday!

White Top: Free Sprits • Printed Kimono: Free Spirits • Jeans: Abercrombie (similar here) • Sandals: Target • Bag: Free Spirits • Sunglass: TJ Maxx

To me, white is always a good thing but it especially is this time of year! This top from Free Spirits (Blessings and Butterflies) is so pretty, I love the detailing down the back. I'm obsessed with this kimono as well! Kimonos are so easy and fun to wear for spring/summer. They add detail and layers to your outfit without being too hot and in Texas, that's always a plus! Free Spirits has some really cute ones right now, check out this one, it's beautiful. I totally overwear these sandals but they're so easy because they go with everything! I'm pretty sure today is the last day for Target's buy one get one 50% off shoes deal, so if you're heading out shopping on this gorgeous day, don't forget about that. Oh and this is totally random but I always feel like I need to tell people this because it's like my favorite thing ever but...Bath and Body Works have their candles on sale for $12.50 today! I got this one yesterday and have it burning right now and it smells amazing!

I hope you're enjoying your Saturday! Noah has worked the last two days so I'm looking forward to spending the day with him. It's the first Saturday in months that I haven't had a lot of training to do so I'm actually looking forward to doing just a short run and then relaxing some. I hope you have a great day and thank you so much for reading!

Budget Friendly Spring Shoes

If you're like me, when you go shopping you may have some of the same stores that you always go into and you usually do it in a certain order. Anytime my mom and I go shopping, we have our favorite stores that we always go to! Target is always one of those places for me and when I go, I have a certain way of looking. I go to the clothes section first, then shoes, then home goods and if I have time I'll glance at the accessories. But if I only have 5 minutes (because the husband is waiting in the car for me) I will always choose the shoe section over anything at all! That 5 minutes may turn into 10 but my heart is happy because I got to look at some shoes. So needless to say, this post was so fun for me to do! Target is such a good place to find shoes because they're always very trendy but also affordable which if you can't tell by now, I love! Plus, they're shoes are currently buy one, get one 50% off!❤️

1. Espadrille Sandals {$29.99}: Espadrilles are so in right now! I love these because they look super comfy and would go with everything.

2. Scalloped Espadrilles {$49.95}: Love the scallops!

3. Bow Sneakers {$39.95}: I want these so bad! They would be cute with jeans and a cute tee.

4. Knotted Sandals {$29.99}: I could easily see these becoming a summer staple!

5. Embroidered Espadrilles {$49.95}: These are so perfect! How cute would they be with a simple dress or denim cut-offs??

6. Flamingo Slip-ons {$39.95}: Flamingos! Need I say more??

7. Peep Toe Booties {$34.99}: I love the neutral color of these because they would go with anything!

8. Heeled Strap Sandals {$32.99): All I can think about when I see these is CancΓΊn! They also come in pink!

9. Cognac Wedges {$59.95}: I have been eyeing these wedges! I know I would wear them all the time.

10. Red Gladiator Sandals {$24.99}: There's just something about statement sandals! They're comfy but yet can make an outfit look more chic in an instant. These also come in black and neutral!

11. Beaded Sandals {$27.99}: Love all the color on these!

12. Black Wedges {$34.99}: I could see myself wearing these all the time! They would go with so many things.

13. Block Heel Pumps {$29.99}: This style of pump is trendy yet very classy! Even though I'm obsessed with this blue color, these also come in black and tan.

14. Studded Heel Sandals {$32.99}: If you haven't noticed from my recent posts, I'm obsessed with shoes with studs! Since I can't buy the real Valentino's, I'm so glad they're making dupes for them now. They may not be identical but honey they are close enough! #noshame 😜

15. Vibrant Cork Heel Pumps {$29.99}: I love spring/summer because you can easily get away with wearing colors you wouldn't normally wear. I think these are so fun!

16. Adidas Pink Sneakers {$79.99}: So these are a little more pricey but I've been dying for a pair, especially when I saw they had them in pink! I may have to ask for these for my birthday!πŸ˜‰

So, I don't know if it's because we spent this past weekend in Galveston or what but I'm having major summer fever! This time of year is so fun though, so I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible. April is always super busy for us but also one of my favorite months because it's mine and Noah's birthday month! We were born only 5 days apart...so crazy and yes, I'm the oldest lol. Anyway, be on the lookout for some spring/summer outfits and maybe a few fitness posts. Thank you again and always for reading!

Prettiest Dress

Dress: Free Spirits Eclectic • Bag: Free Spirits Eclectic • Shoes: Old (love these though) • Lips: LipSense in Apple Cider

As soon as I saw this dress, I fell in love because of the gorgeous color. I have always been obsessed with this color and the floral print on this dress makes it just that much better and perfect for spring! Free Spirits Eclectic is a precious local boutique and they have some of the prettiest pieces. I remember being so excited when this boutique opened a few years ago because before them we didn't have a place close by to shop. It's nice to go into a store, where you know the people there and they're always so nice and sweet. We have some pretty great local shops now and I'm so glad! If only we could get a coffee shop, am I right or am I right?! πŸ˜‰

Free Spirits Eclectic also has a children's boutique (Blessings and Butterflies) that has some of the cutest children's/baby clothes I've seen. It's the perfect place to get baby shower gifts or birthday gifts for you children or nieces and nephews. I'm always the aunt that buys clothes so it's perfect for me! Funny story...my nephew turned 7 last September and I got him something Under Armour and he said "I know you were probably afraid I wouldn't like this because, you know, it's clothes and not a toy but I actually really do like it!" Hahaha! I died laughing. You think he was trying to tell me something??

Anyway, I'm so glad we have this amazing boutique! You can use the code "SPRING15" and get 15% off! They have so many pretty dresses, I want all of them!
