Taking My Leap...

Jeans: Old Navy • Long Sleeve Tee: Old Navy • Heeled Gladiator Sandals: Bliss Boutique (similar here• Watch: Michael Kors • Earrings: Kendra Scott • Handbag: TJ Maxx

Ever since I was a little girl I have had a love for pretty things (shoes to be more specific😉). Whether I was making my dad take me to the nearest shoe store to buy a new pair of shoes or choosing what color my mom and I should repaint my room, pretty things and using creativity to make things prettier has just made me happy!

It’s been on my heart for a while to start this blog. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a while but to be honest, I was afraid. But after a lot of prayers, discussions with my husband and encouragement from my family and friends…here I am. If you know me, you know I tend to be shy and quiet so I’m definitely stepping out of my comfort zone but I think God places things on your heart for a reason so I've decided to take the leap. If you know me well, you know I have a passion for helping others, so combining that with fashion and beauty is a dream! If I can help one person by sharing an outfit they love and can feel confident in, then I know I have started this blog for reason and my heart will be happy. My goal is to share trendy yet affordable pieces that I love and I hope you will too. I also have a healthy obsession for running and staying active so you may see some of that thrown in from time to time, as well as parts of our life from spending time with family, to traveling, to racing and training. Whatever it may be, I hope you will enjoy it. As I take my leap, I want you to know how much I appreciate you all for believing in me. As my husband has said before about my crazy dreams and fears of failing, “remember that’s what you thought about an Ironman too…”. ☺️ So to my husband, family, friends and each of you, thank you! I pray my blog will bring you blessings and happiness with a little bit of shoes and lipstick to go along with it! 😉

“For nothing is impossible with God.”

Now on to the fun part...the clothes! This is a very affordable outfit. I'm always on the hunt for sales and good deals. I purchased the shoes at the end of summer last year at Bliss Boutique and didn't get a chance to wear them much so I've been so ready to. Old Navy currently has their jeans on sale and I snagged these for $25 plus an extra 20-30% off. I love the frayed-hem at the bottom. I had to get these in petite for the length and they fit great. The long sleeve tee is from Old Navy as well. The material is soft and comfy. It's also longer in the back which I love. My purse is from TJ Maxx. The color is perfect and so neutral so it goes with everything! TJ Maxx is my go-to place for handbags. They have such a good variety!

My photos were taken by my sister-in-law, Kassie Rogers. She's amazing, go check her out on Facebook {Kassie Rogers Photography}!
