Green Sweater + Studded Sandals

Green Sweater: Gap (similar in color, similar in style) • Jeans: Abercrombie • Studded Sandals: Target • Handbag: Target • Watch: Michael Kors • Lips: LipSense in Apple Cider

I wore sweaters like crazy this winter and I'm slowly trying to give them up for spring/summer but I just can't do it yet. When I found this sweater at Gap, I had to have it! The color screams spring and it's lightweight, so it's perfect for cooler days. I paired it with jeans but it would look great with some white skinnies or denim cut-offs! My sandals are from Target (less than $30!) but they remind me so much of the designer Valentino studded sandals that I drool over anytime I see them. I will never pay that much for shoes, my husband will never let me pay that much for shoes lol so I love finding dupes. I have worn these sandals so much since I got them, they go with everything and make all outfits feel more chic.

We are headed to Galveston this weekend for a race and I'm so excited! We have been going there for this race for a few years now so it's kind of becoming a tradition and we love it. Although most of our time will be focused on racing, I'm hoping we can have some other fun too, at least eat some good food!

Thank you so much for reading, it means a lot to me!

My New Favorite Lip Product

Lipstick has always shown confidence to me. I always loved when others would wear it because it's so pretty and also showed that they felt good enough in their own skin to wear it. I never had that confidence until here recently. I would usually go for a more natural makeup look and would just put chapstick on (maybe). I also had trouble putting it on in the first place. I couldn't ever get it right and then when I did, it would be gone within an hour. That is, until I tried LipSense. I had heard a lot of people rave about it and was always curious so when Bethany, a LipSense representative, reached out to me about trying it, I jumped on it and I'm so glad I did. It's amazing! It stays on all day long, through eating, drinking, teaching and working out (which means sweating). I was a little worried about it being drying on the lips especially after wearing it all day but the lip gloss is really moisturizing. It's also not sticky at all like a lot of lip gloss. No more being afraid to wear lip gloss on a windy day because of the fear of your hair sticking in it!πŸ‘πŸΌThey have a great variety of colors to try, the one I'm wearing is Apple Cider. It isn't a very vibrant color but it's perfect for everyday, which I like. I am wanting to try a brighter color, especially for this spring/summer! You can also mix colors to make a different color of your own, which I think is great.

In the photos, I'm holding three different tubes of products. One is the color, the other is the gloss and then there's also a remover. It's actually called an "Oops Remover" which I think is so cute! This is a necessity if you're like me and get a little crazy with it and need to fix any mistakes. I also use it to take it off at night before going to bed. One night I was curious to see how long it would last and didn't use the remover to take it off and woke up with it STILL on my lips! I felt like a girl on a TV show waking up from my glorious night of sleep. Haha! But that just shows you that the longevity of it is incredible!

Bethany gave me some great information about LipSense and answered all questions I was curious about it. I was skeptical because I was afraid it would dry my lips out even more than they already are but she said that it actually locks moisture into your lips. As much as I love the lip color, I like the gloss just as much. Sometimes, I will just wear the gloss because it makes my lips feel so moisturized and it gives such a pretty shine.

If you have any questions or if you would like to try this amazing product, go check out Bethany's Instagram @the_lipstick_peddler and her Facebook page The Lipstick Peddler. I hope you'll like it just as much as I do!

Thanks again to Kassie Rogers Photography for the photos!

eight• Baublebar Earrings- Tassel earrings are so popular this year and how about this fun color!

nine• Pom-pom Gladiator Sandals- Okay, these are perfect! Can I go to the beach with these now?!

ten• Yellow Dress- Yellow makes me so happy and this dress looks so comfy and adorable! It's only $15!

eleven• Taupe Espadrilles- I tried these on in Target the other day and fell in love! I think I need to go back and get them because I keep thinking about them.

Does anybody else have spring fever as bad as I do?? Every time a new season is on it's way, I think "Ahhh, now this is my favorite!", but then I think the same thing about the next one. I guess I'm just always ready for the change. There's just something about spring though! I've had the week off for spring break and it has been so nice. Other than some good long workouts building for my next Ironman 70.3, it's been pretty relaxing.😊

I hope you enjoy these finds, I think I see a lot of them falling into my shopping bag soon!

The Perfect Easter Dress

Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember always being so excited to shop for an Easter dress. There's just something so special about it and things still haven't changed since I've been an adult! I've been thinking about the dress I've wanted to get for Easter this year but just hadn't been able to find one like I had pictured in my mind until I found this one at Winsome Threads. It was what I had pictured in my mind but better! Winsome Threads is a locally owned, online boutique with the sweetest owner, Neeley Mallicote. She was also our videographer for our wedding (girl of many talents😊)! Winsome Threads has some adorable dresses and tops. All of the pieces are modest and classy but also very stylish. I'm planning on ordering this dress soon! I also love this one, the floral print is gorgeous and it would be perfect for mamas and teachers. Neeley was gracious enough to create a discount code for you all so go check out Winsome Threads, find you something pretty and get 25% off using the code "CASSIDI25".  I'm so excited about this boutique and look forward to many more purchases!

Happy Saturday and happy shopping!

Why Athleisure is My Best Friend

Zella Black Leggings: Nordstrom • Mint Hoodie: Old Navy • Nikes: Nordstrom • Sunglasses: Old Navy• Earrings: Kendra Scott

I'm just going to be honest and say that I'm in outfits just like this 85% of the time. So to say that I'm happy athleisure is a trend would definitely be an understatement. It has made my life so much easier! After I train it's so easy to just throw a pullover on and go with it. I will say, even if I didn't train I would probably still be in outfits like this most of the time because it's just so much more comfortable, right?? My favorite part of this outfit are these black Zella leggings. I really need to purchase a second pair because I wear them at least 4 times a week and believe me you would too if you had a pair! Not only are they comfortable, they're also really flattering. I love the high waisted fit. So if you haven't already, get you a pair of these leggings, you will not be disappointed...promise!;) My hoodie is from Old Navy and was only $6 when I purchased it. It's so soft! I got it in a medium and normally would wear an x-small or small but I wanted it to be a little oversized (and that's all they had and I couldn't pass up $6 lol). I have worn these Nikes so much this winter and will continue to this spring. I love the neutral color because they go with everything plus they're very comfortable. I don't workout in them so I couldn't recommend them for that but just for everyday wear, they're great!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  Thank you always for reading, it means a lot to me. I have some exciting posts coming up that I can't wait to share with you all so be on the look-out of them!

Pink & Leopard

Pink Sweater: Shein (only $21!) • Jeans: Old Navy • Leopard Flats: Target (similar here, here & here)  • Crossbody Bag: Marley Lilly • Sunglasses: TJ Maxx • Watch: Michael Kors • Earrings: Kendra Scott

Being from the South, I love anything monogrammed. I think it adds so much class to any outfit with the personalized touch. Marley Lilly has ALL things monogram, from bags, to beach towels and even shoes, they've got it! I've had this crossbody bag for a while now and always love it so much! It's so easy to carry (especially when shoppingπŸ˜‰) and the color of it is perfect because it goes with everything! I also am obsessed with this one, I love the scalloped detail. I lived in sweaters all winter long and I don't want to give them up. I love this one because the color is so pretty. In some of the photos, because of the sun, it looks a little lighter but it's definitely the brighter pink like in the photo directly above. This would also be cute paired with some denim cut-offs as it warms up. Now on to the shoes! If you see me often you know I've been wearing these leopard flats like they're going out of style (which I hope they never doπŸ˜‰). I purchased these right after Christmas for $7 and I'm just going to say, that's the best $7 I've ever spent! Unfortanatley they're sold out online but I made sure to link several similar ones. I love these from Old Navy. Pointed toe flats are my favorite!

Photos are by Kassie Rogers Photography! I love her!

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I've spent the last few days in San Antonio with my mom and grandma and we've had the best time. We are heading home today and will hopefully be making a pit-stop in Waco, so you know what that means! I went to the Magnolia Market or store at the time when it was still the small one on Bosque and once to the Market after they had first opened but I haven't been in a while so I'm looking forward to seeing it all and tasting a cupcake! Again and as always thanks for reading, I appreciate it more than you know!

The Best Day of My Life...Our Wedding Day

Even though it's been close to two years since our wedding day, I still reminisce about it all the time. It was magical, beautiful, and perfect in every way. We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives that helped make my dream come true. Whether my mom was staying up with me most of the night, into morning working on details, or Noah and my dad were being lifted into the air to hang the chandelier in the tree just like I wanted or every room of my mother-in-laws farmhouse was being filled with roses and greenery, most of our wedding was put together by our family and hard, let me say it again, hard work but it was all so worth it!  We spent countless hours dreaming, designing, and pinning (of courseπŸ˜‰).  My life for 8 months was wedding, work, work out, wedding and more wedding but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I loved the process!

•How Noah and I Met•
I met Noah’s sister, Meagan, when I was in high school, just a few days after we met she just knew Noah and I would be perfect for one another. It wasn’t until we were in college that Noah and I connected. With his sister’s help we both signed up for a 5k run and after that day, I knew he was the one. At the time, I was also babysitting his niece on my days off from college. At three years old she knew what was good for us too. She would always tell me that I needed to date her Uncle Noah. Since then we have been blessed to grow and love each other more and more every day!

•The Proposal•
Up until the wedding, the day Noah asked me to marry him, was the best day of my life! I was having a long day at work (longer than normal) so after many calls from Noah wondering when I was going to be at his house you would think I would be suspicious but I had no idea what was coming. I walked into the door of his house (our future home together) with a candlelit walkway, full of rose petals leading me to him. A long with that, the house was filled with pictures of us from the 4 years we had been together. It was absolutely breathtaking. As I followed the rose petals and candles I became overwhelmed with emotions. It was an indescribable feeling. Then I saw him, the love of my life, down on one knee asking me to be his forever. And yes ladies, he videoed it with his GoPro and had his sisters take pictures!πŸ‘πŸΌ

•Finding My Dream Dress•
Ever since I was a little girl, I had dreamed about the day that I would find my perfect, dream dress. Although I knew it would be great, I never imagined the emotions or feelings I would feel when trying on my dress. As soon as we walked into The Blushing Bride Boutique in Frisco, Texas, I had no doubt that this would be the place I would say yes to the dress at! It was beautiful and the dresses were even more beautiful. Getting to look among the dresses and pick out all of favorite ones was a dream. I already had my eye on one that I had seen on their website so of course I had to try it on first. It was incredible, I could not stop smiling the whole time I had it on and neither could my family. I tried on all of the other gowns because they were all too beautiful not to try but none of them made me feel the way my dream dress did. I put it on one more time to make sure and fell in love with it even more. I laughed, I cried, the whole nine yards. It was a perfect day! If you're a bride who hasn't found your wedding dress yet, you have to go here! They not only treat you like a princess but they also treat your family and friends, who are there to experience with you, incredible as well.

•The Wedding Day•
I woke up super early the day of the wedding because one, it was going to be the best day of my life so I wanted to experience all of it that I could and two, you know me, I had to get a quick run in before! Running for me is therapy so it was definitely needed. It was a time to reflect and crazy I know, but in my way relax (in my mind) a bit before all the "crazy" started. My bridesmaids and I got ready at Granny Lou's Bed and Breakfast in Bonham. I wanted somewhere beautiful because I knew we would be taking a lot of photos there. At the time, where we got married, didn't have a place for us to get ready. I'm not positive but I know there was discussion that they would be building a suite for the bride to get ready in soon. It clearly was not a deal breaker for me because I loved it too much for it to be. It was not problem at all getting ready in Bonham and then driving to Commerce. It honestly made me feel a little better just in case I was to forget something lol. Granny Lou's ended up being the perfect alternative! Morgan Kelso did my hair as well as my bridesmaids'. She did a great job! My sister-in-law, Ashley Rogers did my makeup. I like to call her my personal makeup artist!πŸ˜‰

•Location•
I had always loved barn weddings/receptions but also loved the idea of having the ceremony outside. So the location, Under The Oaks, was perfect with a barn but also a gorgeous outdoor location under a huge oak tree. Not to mention, the owners were amazing! They let us come look at it multiple times and were so helpful! The owner even hoisted Noah and my dad up using his tractor so I could have my chandelier in the tree like I wanted. His words were "whatever the bride wants, she will get..." and let me tell you, he and his wife went above and beyond to make it happen! Being terrified of what the weather might do in June, in Texas, I had originally thought to have the wedding in the barn but after seeing how gorgeous and green the grass was under that beautiful oak tree, we decided to have it outside and I'm so glad we did. It turned out perfect!

•Flowers•
For my flowers I wanted white, cream or blush roses and a lot of greenery. I wanted it to be a mix of elegance with a whimsical touch. We ended up doing mostly white roses with a few light pink garden roses. They turned out perfect and exactly what I wanted! I am blessed to have a very talented mother-in-law, who did all of my flower arrangements and bouquets with the help of my sister-in-laws. Like I stated above, every room of my mother-in-laws little farmhouse was filled with roses, greenery and magnolia leaves! We ordered most of the roses from Sam's or Kroger and most of the greenery we just picked from fields and yards. I'll never forget being neck-high in a field of queen ann's lace with my mom a few days before the wedding and then panicking that I would get chiggers! lol! Thank goodness, I did not!

•Wedding Party•
I had so much fun planning what dresses I wanted my best friends to wear. I can remember spending hours placing pictures of different dresses I would find online together to get the look that I wanted. I had seen one online from The Blushing Bride that I had to have and had originally thought for all of them to wear it but then decided to do an assortment of different dresses. We ended up all going shopping one night to find some and found the perfect ones! We ended up getting a couple of them from The Blushing Bride and the rest from Nordstrom. It was honestly bizarre how well it worked out and the best part is most of them were on sale! (heyyy!) I loved how they all fit them so well and their personalties but went great together as well. I wanted to pack them all in my suitcase for the honeymoon but Noah said that was a little excessive!πŸ˜‰The Jr. Bridesmaid's dresses were from David's Bridal, the flower girl dress was rented and the baby flower dress was ordered off of Etsy. For Noah, the groomsmen and the little guys, I wanted something really classy so we went the black tux and bowtie. We rented them from A1 Rentals in Denison, Texas and ordered the little guys' tuxes from Amazon.

•The First Look•
Noah and I decided to do the “first look” and I am so glad we did because it was my favorite part of the day. Of course everything was incredible but getting to see each other without the extra nerves was amazing. It made the ceremony and walking down to aisle to him just that much sweeter.

•Memories We'll Never Forget•
There are so many moments from our wedding that I will never forget. Seeing Noah for the first time on that day of course was incredible but so was walking down the aisle to him, dancing with him for our first dance and running hand-in-hand through confetti thrown by all of our favorite people. I wish I could relive those moments everyday and although we can't, I do have the next best thing. Not only did we have Bethany Wilson from Bethany Erin Photography take amazing pictures of our day but we also got Neeley Mallicote from Neeley Films to video it all. They were both there from the time I started getting ready to the time Noah and I left that night. They were amazing! Getting a great photographer as well as a videographer is the best money we spent on the wedding. My dad actually said that and I couldn't agree with him more. If your planning a wedding and there's something you have to go without because of budget...do NOT go without a good photographer and videographer. You will be so thankful. I would watch the video or look at the pictures everyday if I could.

Highlight video by Neeley Films. I'll never forget watching this while we were on our honeymoon and crying my eyes out because I loved it so much. It's the best!

•Advice for Future Brides•
Planning a wedding can be stressful but enjoy every single minute of it! The stress that comes with planning a wedding is what I like to call “fun stress”, yes it’s stressful but at the same time you're having the time of your life. Looking back there’s nothing but good, warm feelings about everything that comes along with it. The main thing and the best thing you remember is seeing the face of your best friend and love of your life saying “I do” to you forever.

Sorry for such a long post but I could go on and on about our wedding day! It's been almost two years and it's probably my favorite thing to talk about, still!☺️
