Budget Friendly Spring Shoes

If you're like me, when you go shopping you may have some of the same stores that you always go into and you usually do it in a certain order. Anytime my mom and I go shopping, we have our favorite stores that we always go to! Target is always one of those places for me and when I go, I have a certain way of looking. I go to the clothes section first, then shoes, then home goods and if I have time I'll glance at the accessories. But if I only have 5 minutes (because the husband is waiting in the car for me) I will always choose the shoe section over anything at all! That 5 minutes may turn into 10 but my heart is happy because I got to look at some shoes. So needless to say, this post was so fun for me to do! Target is such a good place to find shoes because they're always very trendy but also affordable which if you can't tell by now, I love! Plus, they're shoes are currently buy one, get one 50% off!❤️

1. Espadrille Sandals {$29.99}: Espadrilles are so in right now! I love these because they look super comfy and would go with everything.

2. Scalloped Espadrilles {$49.95}: Love the scallops!

3. Bow Sneakers {$39.95}: I want these so bad! They would be cute with jeans and a cute tee.

4. Knotted Sandals {$29.99}: I could easily see these becoming a summer staple!

5. Embroidered Espadrilles {$49.95}: These are so perfect! How cute would they be with a simple dress or denim cut-offs??

6. Flamingo Slip-ons {$39.95}: Flamingos! Need I say more??

7. Peep Toe Booties {$34.99}: I love the neutral color of these because they would go with anything!

8. Heeled Strap Sandals {$32.99): All I can think about when I see these is Cancรบn! They also come in pink!

9. Cognac Wedges {$59.95}: I have been eyeing these wedges! I know I would wear them all the time.

10. Red Gladiator Sandals {$24.99}: There's just something about statement sandals! They're comfy but yet can make an outfit look more chic in an instant. These also come in black and neutral!

11. Beaded Sandals {$27.99}: Love all the color on these!

12. Black Wedges {$34.99}: I could see myself wearing these all the time! They would go with so many things.

13. Block Heel Pumps {$29.99}: This style of pump is trendy yet very classy! Even though I'm obsessed with this blue color, these also come in black and tan.

14. Studded Heel Sandals {$32.99}: If you haven't noticed from my recent posts, I'm obsessed with shoes with studs! Since I can't buy the real Valentino's, I'm so glad they're making dupes for them now. They may not be identical but honey they are close enough! #noshame ๐Ÿ˜œ

15. Vibrant Cork Heel Pumps {$29.99}: I love spring/summer because you can easily get away with wearing colors you wouldn't normally wear. I think these are so fun!

16. Adidas Pink Sneakers {$79.99}: So these are a little more pricey but I've been dying for a pair, especially when I saw they had them in pink! I may have to ask for these for my birthday!๐Ÿ˜‰

So, I don't know if it's because we spent this past weekend in Galveston or what but I'm having major summer fever! This time of year is so fun though, so I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible. April is always super busy for us but also one of my favorite months because it's mine and Noah's birthday month! We were born only 5 days apart...so crazy and yes, I'm the oldest lol. Anyway, be on the lookout for some spring/summer outfits and maybe a few fitness posts. Thank you again and always for reading!

Prettiest Dress

Dress: Free Spirits Eclectic • Bag: Free Spirits Eclectic • Shoes: Old (love these though) • Lips: LipSense in Apple Cider

As soon as I saw this dress, I fell in love because of the gorgeous color. I have always been obsessed with this color and the floral print on this dress makes it just that much better and perfect for spring! Free Spirits Eclectic is a precious local boutique and they have some of the prettiest pieces. I remember being so excited when this boutique opened a few years ago because before them we didn't have a place close by to shop. It's nice to go into a store, where you know the people there and they're always so nice and sweet. We have some pretty great local shops now and I'm so glad! If only we could get a coffee shop, am I right or am I right?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Free Spirits Eclectic also has a children's boutique (Blessings and Butterflies) that has some of the cutest children's/baby clothes I've seen. It's the perfect place to get baby shower gifts or birthday gifts for you children or nieces and nephews. I'm always the aunt that buys clothes so it's perfect for me! Funny story...my nephew turned 7 last September and I got him something Under Armour and he said "I know you were probably afraid I wouldn't like this because, you know, it's clothes and not a toy but I actually really do like it!" Hahaha! I died laughing. You think he was trying to tell me something??

Anyway, I'm so glad we have this amazing boutique! You can use the code "SPRING15" and get 15% off! They have so many pretty dresses, I want all of them!

Green Sweater + Studded Sandals

Green Sweater: Gap (similar in color, similar in style) • Jeans: Abercrombie • Studded Sandals: Target • Handbag: Target • Watch: Michael Kors • Lips: LipSense in Apple Cider

I wore sweaters like crazy this winter and I'm slowly trying to give them up for spring/summer but I just can't do it yet. When I found this sweater at Gap, I had to have it! The color screams spring and it's lightweight, so it's perfect for cooler days. I paired it with jeans but it would look great with some white skinnies or denim cut-offs! My sandals are from Target (less than $30!) but they remind me so much of the designer Valentino studded sandals that I drool over anytime I see them. I will never pay that much for shoes, my husband will never let me pay that much for shoes lol so I love finding dupes. I have worn these sandals so much since I got them, they go with everything and make all outfits feel more chic.

We are headed to Galveston this weekend for a race and I'm so excited! We have been going there for this race for a few years now so it's kind of becoming a tradition and we love it. Although most of our time will be focused on racing, I'm hoping we can have some other fun too, at least eat some good food!

Thank you so much for reading, it means a lot to me!

My New Favorite Lip Product

Lipstick has always shown confidence to me. I always loved when others would wear it because it's so pretty and also showed that they felt good enough in their own skin to wear it. I never had that confidence until here recently. I would usually go for a more natural makeup look and would just put chapstick on (maybe). I also had trouble putting it on in the first place. I couldn't ever get it right and then when I did, it would be gone within an hour. That is, until I tried LipSense. I had heard a lot of people rave about it and was always curious so when Bethany, a LipSense representative, reached out to me about trying it, I jumped on it and I'm so glad I did. It's amazing! It stays on all day long, through eating, drinking, teaching and working out (which means sweating). I was a little worried about it being drying on the lips especially after wearing it all day but the lip gloss is really moisturizing. It's also not sticky at all like a lot of lip gloss. No more being afraid to wear lip gloss on a windy day because of the fear of your hair sticking in it!๐Ÿ‘๐ŸผThey have a great variety of colors to try, the one I'm wearing is Apple Cider. It isn't a very vibrant color but it's perfect for everyday, which I like. I am wanting to try a brighter color, especially for this spring/summer! You can also mix colors to make a different color of your own, which I think is great.

In the photos, I'm holding three different tubes of products. One is the color, the other is the gloss and then there's also a remover. It's actually called an "Oops Remover" which I think is so cute! This is a necessity if you're like me and get a little crazy with it and need to fix any mistakes. I also use it to take it off at night before going to bed. One night I was curious to see how long it would last and didn't use the remover to take it off and woke up with it STILL on my lips! I felt like a girl on a TV show waking up from my glorious night of sleep. Haha! But that just shows you that the longevity of it is incredible!

Bethany gave me some great information about LipSense and answered all questions I was curious about it. I was skeptical because I was afraid it would dry my lips out even more than they already are but she said that it actually locks moisture into your lips. As much as I love the lip color, I like the gloss just as much. Sometimes, I will just wear the gloss because it makes my lips feel so moisturized and it gives such a pretty shine.

If you have any questions or if you would like to try this amazing product, go check out Bethany's Instagram @the_lipstick_peddler and her Facebook page The Lipstick Peddler. I hope you'll like it just as much as I do!

Thanks again to Kassie Rogers Photography for the photos!

Does anybody else have spring fever as bad as I do?? Every time a new season is on it's way, I think "Ahhh, now this is my favorite!", but then I think the same thing about the next one. I guess I'm just always ready for the change. There's just something about spring though! I've had the week off for spring break and it has been so nice. Other than some good long workouts building for my next Ironman 70.3, it's been pretty relaxing.๐Ÿ˜Š

I hope you enjoy these finds, I think I see a lot of them falling into my shopping bag soon!

The Perfect Easter Dress

Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember always being so excited to shop for an Easter dress. There's just something so special about it and things still haven't changed since I've been an adult! I've been thinking about the dress I've wanted to get for Easter this year but just hadn't been able to find one like I had pictured in my mind until I found this one at Winsome Threads. It was what I had pictured in my mind but better! Winsome Threads is a locally owned, online boutique with the sweetest owner, Neeley Mallicote. She was also our videographer for our wedding (girl of many talents๐Ÿ˜Š)! Winsome Threads has some adorable dresses and tops. All of the pieces are modest and classy but also very stylish. I'm planning on ordering this dress soon! I also love this one, the floral print is gorgeous and it would be perfect for mamas and teachers. Neeley was gracious enough to create a discount code for you all so go check out Winsome Threads, find you something pretty and get 25% off using the code "CASSIDI25".  I'm so excited about this boutique and look forward to many more purchases!

Happy Saturday and happy shopping!

Why Athleisure is My Best Friend

Zella Black Leggings: Nordstrom • Mint Hoodie: Old Navy • Nikes: Nordstrom • Sunglasses: Old Navy• Earrings: Kendra Scott

I'm just going to be honest and say that I'm in outfits just like this 85% of the time. So to say that I'm happy athleisure is a trend would definitely be an understatement. It has made my life so much easier! After I train it's so easy to just throw a pullover on and go with it. I will say, even if I didn't train I would probably still be in outfits like this most of the time because it's just so much more comfortable, right?? My favorite part of this outfit are these black Zella leggings. I really need to purchase a second pair because I wear them at least 4 times a week and believe me you would too if you had a pair! Not only are they comfortable, they're also really flattering. I love the high waisted fit. So if you haven't already, get you a pair of these leggings, you will not be disappointed...promise!;) My hoodie is from Old Navy and was only $6 when I purchased it. It's so soft! I got it in a medium and normally would wear an x-small or small but I wanted it to be a little oversized (and that's all they had and I couldn't pass up $6 lol). I have worn these Nikes so much this winter and will continue to this spring. I love the neutral color because they go with everything plus they're very comfortable. I don't workout in them so I couldn't recommend them for that but just for everyday wear, they're great!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  Thank you always for reading, it means a lot to me. I have some exciting posts coming up that I can't wait to share with you all so be on the look-out of them!
